Pivot Table not retrieving correct values

    Hi
I have been having unusual experiences with Excel 2010 and pivot tables. I have one now that is apparently retrieving values that are not in the data set identified as its source. I have tried re-selecting the source, clicking Refresh, but nothing works.

The numbers populated in it are in another spreadsheet I have, but is not related. Has anyone come across this before? Can Excel files be linked in the same way Word and Excel are linked?

    Hi Paul,

That's interesting... could you upload the sample workbook.. also are you seeing those values in data or in dropdowns .. it may happen due to pivot cache.. but not sure unless I see the sample.. please upload. thanks.

Re: Pivot Table not retrieving correct values

    Hi
Below is a link to a sample workbook. If you go to the tab that says 'Tables', its the top sparkline chart. This chart is linked to the pivot table in the 'pivot' tab. This pivot table has all rounded values of 2% for the NY item already selected, however, is you look at the sparkline chart, it shows an up and down pattern, which apparently reflects unrounded values. I want it to display a straightline value representing the rounded values.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated?

    Hi Paul,

The values which are there in above table are actually not 2%.. try copy - pasting them as values to some other location.
Hence, you can use below formula:-
    Formula: copy to clipboard

See the attached workbook with explanation at bottom.. thanks.
