    Active Cell Border

Can anyone confirm, once and for all, whether it is possible to hide or change the colour of the 'Active Cell Border' and the 'Drag Handle' of a selected cell, i.e. the thick border that appears around a cell when it is clicked on and the little black square in the bottom right hand corner of the selected cell. I have read loads and loads of posts on this topic, but not one actually confirms if this is a) possible and b) if so, how to do it!

    Many thanks

    No, it is not.

Well, I guess that's about as definitive as it gets! A bit of an oversight by Microsoft maybe, but never mind, not the end of the world.

Well, technically speaking - yes, it's possible to hide it. But I'm sure not the way you had in mind.

You would have to apply a medium-dark grey background fill on the surrounding cells. Then, it's hidden.

    Cutter,

Unfortunately, applying a medium-dark grey background fill on the surrounding cells doesn't really work for what I need so I've adopted a different approach as it seems this isn't really a viable option. Many thanks for your input...
