Counting by looking in 2 cells for answers

    Hello All,

right i will do my best to explain, i have this formula so far and this is great but now what i want this to do is basically only count the names if call a1 has a certain answer in it. =SUMPRODUCT(($E$2:$E$99=W2)*1)

so for example if cell A1 says Assistance then this will count the amount of times a certain name is listed.

    really hope you can help!

    Hi Rick

    Do you mean?

    =SUMPRODUCT(($E$2:$E$99=W2)*($A$1="Assistance") )

    Or

    =SUMPRODUCT(($E$2:$E$99=W2)*($A$1:$A$99="Assistance") )
    Regards

    Fotis.
