Excel 2007 : Return a value based on a list

Hello. I am trying to condense a list (data dump) that has multiple products for the same brand... for example there is an entry that says 1-wire drivers and one that says 1-wire drivers for windows xp and vista. I want to be able to have another cell report just "1-Wire" for both items....

Soooooo...

1-Wire Drivers
SAP
Microsoft Office
1-Wire Drivers for Windows

Would become

1-Wire Drivers 1-Wire
SAP
Microsoft Office
1-Wire Drivers for Windows 1-Wire


I tried using a list and then a vlookup and doing a True condition as opposed to a False but then items that didn't contain the data were getting the wrong info (If that makes sense)
