Question Return value and match cell colour from vlookup

    Hi All
I have a lookup table on a separate worksheet with 2 columns. Column 1 holds a numerical code, column 2 holds a text string. Each cell in column 2 has a different cell colour. In my main worksheet I am using a vlookup formula to lookup the code in column 1 and return the text string from column 2.
I would like to return the text string and the cell colour. I think I may need to use vba but I am very new to coding.
    Help please

    Hi G-Force61,

My coding is useless, but an idea might be to run Conditional Formatting in the cells you wish to colour - making the condition the word of the colour.

    Try the attached
