    Online excel shared

We have a team that will have an activity in the future weekends. The question is that some people may be out of town for vacation.
I want to create an online sign off sheet to ask everybody to mark his(her) schedule. The sheet should be accessible by everybody and modified simultaneously.
I heard about excel shared something like, but I am not sure...

    Thanks

Dilipandey, there is no Google Docs Excel. If you point to a product, you may want to take enough care to use its proper name.

    Re: Online excel shared

    Hi zhshqzyc,

I have searched "google Docs: Excel" on google and got following:-

    http://www.google.co.in/url?sa=t&rct...04nUalz6LiBfHg

Click on above link and use your google account / password to enter.
Now from left side create option, you can choose "Create -> Spreadsheet". Since this is a online document, you can share / grant access to other users as well and then they can use the same document. Cheers

What is it's official name ?

I don't know but after seeing its web address, I can say it as :-
"Google Doc - Spreadsheet", "Google Doc - Excel" or just "Google Doc App" OR "Docs @ Google App" as these are all commonly/widely used names for this and I believe mentioning such names will help a new user to locate the correct item.

npamcpp, I would be grateful if you can share the correct "Product Name" for our learning. thanks.

    Regards,
    DILIPandey

"Excel" is a trademark name for a Microsoft product. Google Docs is a trademark name for an online service offered by Google that can be used to create text documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and more. There is no specific name for the Google spreadsheet application, other than "Google docs spreadsheet" , but it's certainly not "Google Docs Excel".

CREATE NEW DOCUMENTS IN YOUR BROWSER
Go to http://skydrive.live.com and sign in with your Windows Live ID. If you don’t yet have a Windows Live ID click Sign up to get one.
At the top of the browser window, click the kind of document that you want to create: Word document, Excel workbook, PowerPoint presentation, or OneNote notebook.
Type a name for the document, and then click Save.
The document opens for editing in the appropriate Web App.
