    Using conditional formatting

    Hi everyone

i am trying to use conditional formating to change the colour of a cell. Overally this is fairly simple but i am trying to apply 2 conditions to the cell, one instance it will turn yellow, another it will turn red.

I am using calendar dates so form example:

    First condition

If date in cell A1 is bigger than date in cell A2, fill the cell yellow.

    Second Condition

If date in cell A2 is also bigger than date in cell A3, fill the cell red.

    Any ideas?

    Re: Using conditional formatting

There is a hierarchy in the CF conditions, so if you applied both those conditions to cell A1 in the order that you state, then A1 would appear yellow (if A1 > A2), even if A2 > A3. You might want to change the order of the conditions to get to see red as a priority.

    Hope this helps.

    Re: Using conditional formatting

    Hi

In Conditional Format rules, try these 2 functions

    =A1>A2 >>Yellow

    =AND(A1>A2,A2>A3) >>Red
