    Grand total excel pivot table help

    Hello everyone,

    I need help for the Grand total.
    I need a sub grand total for the month. See example below:

    Total sale of Cookies (June and July) 9
    Jun 4
    Jul 5
    Total sale of Bread (June and July) 8
    Jun 3
    Jul 5
    Grand Total 17

    I need a grand total for June and July. See below:
    Total sale of Cookies (June and July) 9
    Jun 4
    Jul 5
    Total sale of Bread (June and July) 8
    Jun 3
    Jul 5
    Grand Total 17
    Jun 7 <- Need this to show on my pivot table below Grand Total
    Jul 10<- Need this to show on my pivot table below Grand Total

    Wouldn't dragging pivot fields related to the month (June, July etc.) onto the column fields give you the monthly breakdown too? (albeit in different columns and not one below the other)

    Hi Thank you for your reply,

    I wouldn't be able to drag the fields since I actually have several columns on the Pivot table. I only showed on column as an example.
    But if you can give me more specific instructions, maybe I can check it if would work?

    Hello,

    Drag the "Month" Field into the Column Field instead Row or check if this still does not do the trick, check the field options to make sure you have it set to work out the total (Automatic also does it on mine).
