Serial Number in Pivot Table

Hi Guys,

I want S. No. in Piovt Table like
If I collapse Date then S. No. Main should work. Althought, I'm doing this manually by unchecking blank cell in "S. Sr.No.Pivot.xlsxMain" and If I expand then Sub S. No. should automatically expand. Is it possible in Excel Pivot Table ?

I"m attaching the exel file for further clarification.

Hi Mubashir,

You can link the formulas of column B with the dates in column C... but how many gaps (bucketing) you want in column A serial numbers ?
like 3 blanks are there between 1 and 2 and then 4 blanks are there between 2 and 3... thanks.

thanks for your concern but i can't fix the gap as I mentioend it can be 2 ,4 or even 100 !
can u give me some example that how we can link the formula?

Okay..

Suppose there is no column A data i.e, no S. No. Main ... then you can easily go ahead with Sub S. No... right ?
So what is the relevance of main serial numbers and the Gaps ?

there is no issue with main or sub I was just trying to explain that i want serial number like this that if we collapsed/expand the data serial numbers shold colapse and expand.
