Dynamic LEGEND in a Dynamic Chart

    Hi, guys,

I'm currently working on a Dashboard with Dynamic Charts. Everything works perfectly except for one noticeable format in the Chart.

I'd like to work on showing dynamic Legends in the chart. Let's say, I have 5 categories. If I select the first three, AYE, BEE and SY, I'd like to see only three selected categories in the Data Table. Those that were not selected shouldn't be shown in the chart. In my actual report, i have a total of 10 to 15 categories and not all have data. Do you think it will work?

For a clearer picture of my concern, i've attached a sample file for your reference. Dynamic Chart Legends.xlsx

    A million thanks, in advance!

    Thankees!

Re: Dynamic LEGEND in a Dynamic Chart

    Hi,
May be a solution using pivot table and pivot chart
    See attached file :
Insert a PT with wizard PT from sheet Dynamic Legend in a new sheet : rename PT_Transfert
Then double click on value : this give automaticaly a new sheet : rename Table
Insert a PT and PC from sheet Table and format as desired with table data legend
Filter by items and by month
    Hope this help
    Best regards

Re: Dynamic LEGEND in a Dynamic Chart

    Hello,

Thank you, jpr73! I appreciate the help. Actually, the Dashboard contains different graphs and different categories in one sheet making it difficult for the users to select per graph, and putting a lot of pivot tables isn't helpful with the file size of the Dashboard.

I'm not sure if there are other ways to work on having dynamic legends.
