multi valued field FROM clause

We have an Access database that uses sharepoint tables. We have linked an Excel spreadsheet to the Access query. The Excel sheet refreshes ok on a Window XP, 32 bit, Office 2010 computer. The file does not refresh on a Windows 7, 64 bit, Office 2010 computer. The user receives the following error message.

Cannot reference a table with a multi valued field using a From clause that refers to another database.

The fact that one machine works and another one doesn't make me wonder if there is setting that needs to be changed on the Windows 7, 64 bit machine. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Did you ever get a resolution to this issue? I am gettinght same sort of message trying to build a query against an Access database but there are no multi-valued fields in the table or database and I'm wondering if it is a bug with Windows 7 64-bit.
