    Conditional formatting question

    Good evening everyone,

In my excel spreadsheet, I have a column "Account Number" and a column "Used." What I would like to do is, if the "Used" column contains '1' it will look at the Account Number in the same row, then highlight that Account Number and all matching Account Numbers below it. Is anybody able to help me write a function to do so?

Thanks in advance for any help!

    Hi dumediat,

    Welcome to the forum.

and all matching Account Numbers below it
Do they also need to have 1 in the same row under "used" column?

    Re: Conditional formatting question

    Hi,

I have approached this slightly differently, on the basis that you are only using "1" against the first instance.

I would be interested to know if the "1" identifier is input manually or by a formula.

    See what you think.
