Select Locked Cells Problem

I've run into a problem when I have a sheet that is protected, with "Select Locked Cells" excluded.

I ran into this problem while working on another project. To ensure it wasn't something from that project, I created a new workbook, selected any of the worksheets, and protected that sheet without the "Select locked cells" enabled. I tried this with and without some of the cells protected. I have also tried this on independent machines, both were running Excel 2007.

When you press CTRL+Pageup or CTRL+Pagedown, the sheet that was protected experiences a large scroll left (if possible) or a large scroll right.

Pressing CTRL+Pageup or CTRL+Pagedown shold select the sheet before or after the active sheet.

Any workarounds? Any way of having a Before_Keypress to trap this event?

Hi PosseJohn,

I have tested this but on Excel 2010 and here it is working fine..
Could you upload that so that I can try opening that in Excel 2010 and see if that is creating issues with 2007 version only ?

Here's the test file.

Sheet2 is protected with NO password. Shaded cells are unprotected.

When on Sheet1 or Sheet3, pressing CTRL+PgUp or CTRL+PgDn will take you to the appropriate sheet, but while on Sheet2, Excel scrolls left or right.

Hi John,

I have just checked it.. and for me it is working fine. Pressing pressing CTRL+PgUp or CTRL+PgDn while on sheet 2 is taking me to other sheet(s).

There is some other catch to it... will come back if something clicks in my mind. Thanks.
