Macro to check column A and copy text from cell above

Hi,

What I have are task codes in column A which have corresponding records in several rows beneath them however the task code is blank for each row other than the first line of each task code and the task code can have a non standard number of sub-records.

Can any please advise me of the macro code I need to check in column A for a task code and then fill in the blanks (i.e. copy the taste code and paste into the blank cells) until it meets the next tasks code and do the same all the way down column A.

N.B for the last task code the macro would have to check in column ‘B’ to see where the last record row is.
