Highlight input cells but print without the highlights

I have a habit of setting up my spreadsheets that I use every month with a highlighted color in those cells that I need to input into. But then when the product is finished, I don't want the highlights to print. Is there a workaround so that I don't need to re-do all my spreadsheets to put the data input somewhere else and just cell reference it on the printed page? I'm thinking maybe there's an input identifier in excel that I'm not using that might work........

    Thanks in advance, Gurus!

    Hello,

Did you tried print while enabling the draft quality?

    To enable the draft quality:

    1. Page Setup
    2. Sheet tab
    3. Print - Draft quality
    4. Ok

    Kind Regards,

you could set up a macro with a button (where the properties are set to don't print object)
that would set the fill color of a range to no fill.
set up a named range where your data is.

That way you could highlight away - then right before printing, click and the highlighting is gone.

or just select the sheet (clicking at the corner) and set the fill to no fill.

    Thanks for the responses.
FCarv, I didn't know about the draft quality selection so I learned something!
CrimeDog, this would work well and I'll probably use it. I have some highlighting on the report that I DO want to retain so this solution will allow me to do that.
