Targets

I would like to create an excel sheet for the restaurant I work in in which I could list all the ingredients we have (say bananas, chicken and strawberries) and the number add a list of the target figures and have excel display how many more we need or have too many etc.

So if my target is 3 crates of bananas, 25 chickens, and 12 crates or strawberries and I have 3/10/15 (same order), the sheet would tell me: ok/buy 15/ok by 3

Is that possible?

Yes basically, but if someone delivers 10 chickens to me the status has to be able to say "buy 5" thanks

if you add 10 chickens to the value in cell B3, the formula will return "buy 5" in cell D3

or, do you want some other way of showing changes in stock - for example an additional column?

if uou change the sheet so it looks how you want and upload it, i'll try to do a formula for you

Say if all is ok: green
If under: red
If over: blue
