I have a worksheet that is a working paper for the salesmen.

It contains some filled in data and also some spaces for them to fill in.

Not all of the cells will be filled in all of the time, but I don't want the answer to show up as 0 if that is the case. How can I enter this? I could leave1 entered in the cell as a template and hide it without changing the value, is this possible? Would other values entered in this cell be hidden?

    Perhaps use an IF statement

    =IF(Your_formula=0,"",Your_formula)
    Life's a spreadsheet, Excel!

Under the tools section, you can set the display to not show zero values

    TOOLS/OPTIONS unclick show ZERO VALUES
Click on star (*) below if this helps

The IF statement could work except my second formula already has parentheses so it gets mixed up. I would like to try the do not display zero values, but cannot find tools/options?

You have Excel 2003. Look on your tool bar for Tools
