Scatterplot not plotting data when it's copied and pasted

    Hi-

When I copy and paste data from one worksheet to another, the scatterplot graph won't work... it plots everything against a Y value of 1.

However, if I type the exact same data on my own, with no copy/paste, it plots the points fine.

I assume this is some kind of formatting issue, but I can get it to fix... tried making everything "general," "number," etc.

    Thanks,
    Marc

It probably thinks it text, although text is usually treated as zero in charts.

    Can you post workbook example?

    Hi Andy-

I was vigilant about trying different formats (text, general, number)... but nothing seems to work. As you can see in this screenshot, the value for Y defaults to 1. Over and over, I go in and change this to represent my actual Y-axis data. However, it just goes back to Y=1 no matter what.
Again, if I type in by hand, it doesn't do this.

I can not really help from just a screen shot, other to confirm that yes that is a default value of 1 for the y value.
