Advanced filter - Multiple criteria - creating string expression

I recieve a list (130+) of items that need to be found in a large spreadsheet (20,000+ items)

I want to filter this large spread sheet to show only the needed data.

I think I need a string express to do this and I know the format should be ="=item"

what I would like to do is be able to use a formula to make the small list of items I need into the string and then place this string into my filter.

I have attached a sample spreadsheet that I hope explains this better

sheet 1 shows the advanace filter (i manually typed in the sting expressions on this sheet" along with a sample of the data I will be using.

sheet 2 shows what I would like to be able to do make the string. Yes, it appears to work but when I copy the apparent string expression on this page and paste (evene with using paste special values only) excel does not look at the value as a string.

I hope this makes sense to someone and that someone can help.

    Hi, vb4llmom,

just copy the headers like in your list and enter the items there. If you want to run the Advanced Filter alter the range for the Criteria for the surrounding data:

I deleted the empty row 6 in Sheet1 and I could work fine with that.

If you place all the items in Column A and want the data for each item on a new sheet, try something like this:
