Question My excel 2007 is acting funny...Why

    Good evening,
I have just switched from 2003 to 2007. I had some xls file and some xlsm. Now when I try to work within my spreadsheets I cannot type in anything... The columns are now numbers and the rows are numbers as well. What happen?

I was working on an important workbook with all my codes and now all is lost. They are there but they don't seem to properly work... I have enabled all macros so that is not the problem. Then after I try to insert information my Excel freezes...

    Any idea of what happen?

To change your coloum head into alphabet : File>Option under Formula tab, R1C1 reference style -remove check.

    rows heads are always numbers.

If your workbook has vb codes, you should save as MacroEnabled workbook (ie .xlsm)

Thank you for the reply. Everything was done before I loaded the file. It was previously saved as (Macro enable) in xlsm in my previous version (2003), this helped me to kinda compress the file as an xls was too big of a format.

When I open the file it is perfect, as soon I start using the functions of the workbook it freezes and adds automaticaly the R1C1 reference style and then my excel workbook freezes.

Then I can't insert new information. and then it crash.
