Unable to copy cells or obtain password to unprotect

I have a spreadsheet from another part of our business which has a summary of historical data that I am unable to copy the data from, it will take me hours to manually copy into my spreadsheet if I am unable to copy the data. No-one has the password so I am unable to unprotect the sheet. It is set up in a way that you can not select the cells on the page/copy them. Is there any way to copy cells from a protected sheet without the password?

Just tried your suggestion, it still doesn't work, am beginning to think it would be quicker to manually retype all the data into my spreadsheet
