"Clear" button Data Filter section greyed out when sheet is protected.

    Hi guys,

Can anyone please tell my why the "clear" button in the filter section (Data tab) is greyed out when a sheet is protected, even if the "Use AutoFilter" tick-box is checked when enabling protection? I'd like to be able to clear multiple filters at once, on a protected spreadsheet, but cannot.

    Thanks.
    Brendan.

Anyone??? I'm surely not the first person to try to use the clear all function on the filter on a protected sheet....

Looks like it's a bug, although MS may argue it's by design.

Doesn't sound like a great design to me

    Thanks, Andy.
