    Question Conditional Formatting Formats All

    Hello..

I have little problem in Excel 2007, if anyone could help?

I want to make conditional formatting to columns: if the value is larger than "10", then it will filled red light with dark red text.
What I found is, not only the cells with value larger than "10" that are conditionally formatted, also the cells with only text that are formatted as well (pict. below).

I want to give format only to the cells with the value but not to the cells with text by using the 'conditional formatting' function.
    Could anyone help? x)

    Thanks!

I have tried to use both 10 and "10" and the result is still the same.
And how to upload the sample workbook in the post?

    Re: Conditional Formatting Formats All

i removed all your CF and started again, and i used only the range you have, not entire columns (=$C$7:$G$372). you can change it back to $C$:$G$ if you want

then i used "use formula" for the CF and used this formula
    =AND(ISNUMBER(C7),C7>1)

also, if you want to have more flexibility, chage the >1 to a cell reference that you can change as needed

i THINK what was causing your was the way you had absoluted your column range, but i changed that and cant remember what was there before

let me know if this is what you wanted?
