Keyboard shortcut to jump to next unique value in a long list

    Afternoon,

I've tried googling this and I can't find anything so hopefully someone will be able to help me.

Is there a keyboard shortcut in Excel (2007) that lets you jump to the next unique value in a list? For example, I have a list of over 10,000 entries but with only 10 unique country names. What I want to be able to do is jump between the first entry for each country when they're sorted alphabetically using a shortcut rather than having to scroll down thousands of rows.

    Hope that makes sense!

    Thanks

Try using CTRL-F Shortcut key for the FIND function.

Hit CTRL-F and enter the string your looking for press enter and your there.

    Does that work for you?

Yeah CTRL+F works and it's fine when I know what's in the list or I just want to jump between values. The reason I was asking was so that I could select all rows which contained that certain value and not have to bother scrolling (similar to CTRL+down to get to the end).

It's not a problem if there's not, I have some work arounds, I was just wondering if there was a specific shortcut.

    Sorry for the late reply

When using the CTRL-F Shortcut, instead of just pressing enter, use the Find All button
It will present you with a list of all occurrences of you search string
You can then select each occurrence and your cursor goes to that line,
you can then perform what ever operation you need to do,
then re-access the search box and select the next line.
