Help: Find a string then display all value.

    Hi,
I have large spreadsheet with equipment maintenance, date, and time. In the first column, each cell has paragraph that describes the maintenance and list the serial number randomly along the lines. The 2nd column is the date. The 3rd column is the time.

In the first column, there multiple entries for each serial number (multiple rows for each serial), and they are not in order.

What kind code or function should I use? If I am trying to display all rows( multiple maintenance ) and all corresponding columns (description, date, time) if I just use the serial number as input.

Kind of like data filter. but Filter wouldn't work here b/c the serial numbers are not list in an organized manner.

    Thank you !

Use AutoFilter with the "Contains" option.

    Jakobshavn,
Thank you, I think that is exactly what I need.
Where is AutoFilter with Contains option in Excel 2010. Do you have any examples.

    Jakobshavn,

Thank you again. I am very grateful to your responses.

I was wondering if I can do it in faster way. I have an organized list of all the serials. Can I have Excel search every serial number and display corresponding maintenance, date, and time in a new worksheet for each serial.

The serial number looks like this (2 numbers)-(1,2,or 3 letters)-(3 numbers) for example 23-IKA-001
