Copying data adds carriage return to data copied

I have a simple excel 2010 workbook that does some simple math. I would like to be able to copy the data from cell F2 and paste it into another application (please see attached file). When I copy using control+v or right clicking and choosing copy from the menu the data I get on the clipboard has a carriage return at the end. I have pasted it into wordpad, notepad, and word 2010 that is showing all formatting and there is a carriage return at the end. This seems to happen to any data I copy out of excel. In the workbook attached I put a number in a few of the empty cells (1.00) and copied it and there is the carriage return there also.

I have also tried =Clean(F2) in another cell with the same results and also =substitute(F2,Char(13),"") with the same results.

Any ideas?
