Cross reference two columns (different workbooks) and then populate a field if match

    Hi,
before i start, im a newbie, Can anyone help with the following.

I have two workbooks. I need to cross reference two different collumns(one in each workbook) that contain product descriptions. If there is a match, i then need this to bring in a value from another collumn (ie price) to my workbook.

    Hope that makes sense.

So search for a product description(one collumn to another), if it matches, bring through the corresponding price (from the second workbook, different collumn).

    Many thanks

    Murphy

Now sorted, forgot that when using VLOOKUP, the first column has to be the value you are searching for. Thanks anyway
