Text box equals cell value problem

So I have a few text boxes that I created from Shapes and gave it the text properties that I want.

I have the text box linked to a cell on another sheet, i did this in the formula by doing =Sheet2!A2

The problem is that the text box does not always display the information. Especially if A2 is blank then its saved and closed. When i open it and enter something into A2 the text box on sheet 1 does not display A2 many times until I click the text box over and over... and sometimes when I finally get it to display again it reformats everything to default.

Anyone have an idea?

Calculation is set to automatic.

Its a very interesting problem.

What I have set up is a text box With the Text size of 48, bold and blue in color and linked to A2 on sheet 2.

If i entered something into A2, nothing shows up. If i click on the text box the text appears, but set back to defalt text, black size 11.

I have about 8 or 9 of these text boxes and they are all acting the same way.

I was able to duplicate this with a new excel project. I started a new excel. Created a text box on sheet one and =Sheet2!A1 then I dont put anything into the cell. I then save and close out. OPen it back up, put something in Sheet 2 A1 then the text box on sheet one still has nothing in it, click it, and it populates.

Here is what I have.... there are text boxes all over this workbook, and they are linked to the cells on sheet 2.
