put search function into workbook that reports back adjacent cells to search criteria

    Hi
i need some assistance in placing a search function into a workbook that will search approx 260 names and report back adjacent cells which have details of place working and times to be worked.

this forms part of a very large rota with staff working in several areas daily. i need this so i can type in the name and come up with the details where they are working for a week that can be quickly printed off for employees who require these.

    thanks in anticipation

I posted this 5 minutes ago...

If you use the $ to block of the letter in the search cell you can copy the formula sideways as well and retrieve data from multiple cells.

I would stay away from the array formulas in this thread as they are more diffcult to work with and offer no real advantage in this particular case.
