    Double Quotation Issue

    Hello, thank you in advance for going to solve my issue.
    Here is the sample text and paragraph I am pasting on the cell NORMALLY:

    Sample Headline Here....
    * Short Sentence 1
    * Short Sentence 2
    * Short Sentence 3
    * Short Sentence 3
    * and the list goes on

    If I copy it on that cell and paste it into text file or other file, it will return me the same thing.

    Here is the issue.

    I want to paste it within a single cell so I have to use F2 key right?
    F2 then Paste inside the sell and see to it. It's look normal and original.

    But I copy that cell and paste it into text file or other file, DOUBLE QUOTATION is bonding the text like below...

    "Sample Headline Here....
    * Short Sentence 1
    * Short Sentence 2
    * Short Sentence 3
    * Short Sentence 3
    * and the list goes on"

    What's going on? I want the outcome like the previous one. Please help.
    Thanks

    Welcome to the forum, soltun699. You will generally get a better response if you upload a small sample workbook - people are more likely to help you out if they don't have to build your spreadsheet first to see what's happening.
    Brendan.

    Re: Double Quotation Issue

    How/what/where exactly are you copying/pasting?

    If I copy A3:A8, then press F2 on another cell there is no option to paste.

    Thank you anyway.
    I am doing product listing project and this copy and paste the sell from/to excel is part of the project. If this issue is still exist, that will be tedious for me to do thing since similar copy and paste task to be done as and when for life. Someone please help.

    Re: Double Quotation Issue

    Hello Norie.
    Copy A3:A8 and paste it to your text file. You will see the same thing. No issue at all. Now copy A 16 (which is done by me as I press F2 and paste it from the text file) and paste it to your text file. You will get what I mean.

    Re: Double Quotation Issue

    So you mean hit F2, select what's in A16, copy it and then paste it in the textfile?

    Tried that, no quotes.

    Are you actually going to be copying/pasting like this from Excel to a text file?

    Re: Double Quotation Issue

    Hello Norie.
    Thanks, you are right. hit F2, select what's in A16, copy and paste it into text file. Yes, no quotes.
    How about just select without hitting F2, copy and paste it to your text file (this is what I want). You will get double quotation.

    If there is no solution then I will have to go for hit F2, select, copy and paste.
    Thanks

    The project I am doing is has to get along with marcro recorder. So I think using excel is the best solution. Actually, i will copy and paste it to Wordpress post for any product listing. Still got some issue but one at a time. Thanks

    Re: Double Quotation Issue

    I'm not getting double quotes however I try it, I seem to recall seeing it in the past though.

    I still don't understand what you are doing.

    If you want to put data in a text file you can use VBA's file Input/Ouput methods.

    Re: Double Quotation Issue

    So you are selecting the cell (without hitting F2), copy and paste it into the text file but no quote right?
    I am doing the same but I am seeing double quotation, so I am at lost.

    I understand that It's hard to get what I am doing without seeing visually as I am also having difficult explaining here. I shall try what you have suggested using VBA method.
    Thank you Norie.
