Building multiple forms with back end database and Multi-user functionality

I've created about 15 forms in excel our company will use to perform daily Quality Assurance checks. There are a few challenges I'm running into as its coming time to figure out implimentation:

1 - Each form must be accessable and editable simultaneously by multiple users. Users should not be "locked out" or have read only access to a form because another user already has it open.

2 - Each user needs to be able to open a unique instance of each form so that if two users are in the same form, they would not see each other's work.

3 - All forms use a single back end database which auto populates data necessary for calculations on the forms. The database is currently in access, but can easily be exported to excel. I know that new worksheets can be used to store "database" information for the form, my concern is that if an update is required, it will mean having to go into all 15 forms individually and making 15 updates. Is there a way to simplify this?

4 - I already tried to push doing this in access, it was shot down.

If anyone could point me in a good direction for tackling these challenges, I would be very appreciative. Thanks!

You need to push for using Access or a similar database program instead of Excel. The forms can be created in an Access front-end. Excel simply doesn't have the functionality you're looking for (multi-user accessible). I know you said you've already pushed for it, but using Excel is not the answer here.
    Hope that helps,
