I have a lot of data from different .rtf files that I need to be entered into a single excel spreadsheet. The spreadsheet can be seen here and has a particular format. Each .rtf file has the information, but it isn't formatted the same as the excel file. You can see an example of the rtf to match the example excel file here.
If you view both files, it should be fairly straight forward as to how they are meant to match up.
Basically, I have hundreds of these .rtf files, and they all need to be formatted correctly and put into this single excel spreadsheet. Right now I'm copying and pasting the data over, which is going to take forever.
Also, sorry for such a "newb" question, but when I copy the data over into excel, it auto-formats by auto-incrementing the data in each row, and it rounds off my race times rather than simply copy the data over exactly as it is in my clip board. Where can I change this in my excel preferences?
If it helps, I'm using excel 2010, and I'm on Windows 7.
