    Protection of Spreadsheet protection

    Good afternoon

I would like to know if it is possible to have an Excel spreadsheet protected by a pass word that can be changed by the initial author only.

    Thanks for your help

    Best regards

Of course. Set the password in the VBE on open and then password protect the VBE.

Thank you for your answer but I am sorry. I don't know what "my BVE" is. Could you explain?

    Best regards

Well now that I think of it, if the author sets the password by Review >> Changes >> Protect Sheet and then does not give the password to anybody, then that person is the only person who can affect a change.

The VBE is the Visual Basic Environment. It is where you write code for Excel or any other microsoft product.
