    Trouble with sorting

I'm trying to add zip codes to a list so I can use them for a vlookup formula. The newly added zips are in column a2-a10. Instead of converting each zip to a number I left them in text format. When I try to sort the zips from smallest to largest, the sort doesn't include the newly added zips. Any idea what I can do to fix this? Thanks

    One way could be this.

In F2, type =A2+0 Copy down.

Then sort by coumn F which you can hide
