Pivot Table - Date Report Filter

    Hi all,

I have been trying to create a Pivot table that shows all the clock ins/outs made on a date that you select via the report filter drop down and display it on a line graph to see the peaks and lows. To this extent, it works perfectly.

One thing I have noticed though, is how on pivot table refresh, the order in which it is displayed isn't in the correct order (1 Jan, 2 Jan etc) but is displaying starting at the 10th Jan. All the dates are still there, but some days of the month display at the bottom rather than the top. Any ideas why?

    Thanks

Edited the post with extra findings.

It seems to do it on pivot table refresh (I have a macro that does it on sheet activate)

Re: Pivot Table - Date Report Filter

Hi, it depends on when the date order was entered. ie if you put 11th then 10th as a date, thats the order the pivot table will put them in, as it stores the dates entered. if you click on the out of sequence date you can drag it to the correct position or do a sort on the pivot data. Another tip is right click on the pivot data table and go to the data tab. Change the automatic value to "None". This removes dates not used , and lastly you dont need a macro to refresh the pivot tables, simply press CTRL & ALT (keep them pressed) then F5. this updates the whole workbook. ( or if you right click again on a pivot table, go to the data tab & you can set the pivots to refresh when the workbook is opened )
