Is there a list somewhere on the inter-web that shows all the standard included variables for Excel.
Stuff like &[tab], &[date]
for instance i would like to have &[tab] OF &[num_of_tabs]
I know that last one is not real...............that's why i would like to see a list of what variables are ALREADY DEFINED and what my choices are.
You are talking about codes that go in a custom header or footer. All available codes can be inserted using the buttons, without knowing the codes.
There aren't many.
&[Pages]
&[Page]
&[Date]
&[Time]
&[Path]
&[File]
&[Tab]

It is also possible to use macros to put just about anything you want into headers and footers.
I suppose it is possible that there are undocumented/unsupported codes as well, but I don't know any.
