I am trying to create a project timeline for a new restaurant and want to have the cell auto colour based on the status in the previous cell/column.
For example if the cell previous has "Done" written inside, the next cell will color green
I wish to have 3 status and 3 colours
Done Green
In Progress Yellow
Nil Red
As always your help is greatly appreciated
With your data starting in a1, put this formula in conditional formatting rules for the range A2:A100
=$A1="done"
sAME WAY FOR THE OTHERS RULES.

when I put the first formula in I receive a True / False in the cell
