Problem with links going from Excel 2007 to 2010

Hello. I am a graduate student. My adviser creates extensive excel worksheets with links between multiple pages. He works from Excel 2007. I have Excel 2010. When we try to copy the templates via flash drive to place on my computer, the links don't go to the correct place....they start referencing a different drive (D rather than C). Is there something we need to do when saving or opening these to solve this problem? I am a novice in excel.
