I want to compare Columns A and B and Insert value in C.
So if Column A is null, then place value of column B in C, otherwise place Value of A in C.
Having trouble doing this.
Any ideas. Appreciate any help!!

Thank you so much for the quick reply.
I tried doing it but it didn't work properly. It still gave me blank and where the values in A were not null, it copied over values from B.
This is what is happening now. It copies over if A is not null but it does not copy over when A is null. Is there a reason why?
The cell may not be completely blank. In a blank cell, type =ISBLANK(A1). Assuming A1 is actually blank, when you hit Enter the cell should read "TRUE".
If it returns "FALSE", then you have a space or apostrophe or something in the seemingly blank cell.

I got it to work. Thank you so much. Apprantly I had to say IStext, and it worked. Not sure why.
Yep, guessing you have a space in that cell then. If you want to cover yourself in case some of the "blank" cells are, indeed, truly blank, usePlease Login or Register to view this content.
