    Setting up Menu in Workbook

    Greetings All

Newbie here so please do not burn me if this topic covered recently

I have an excel workbook with multiple worksheets(tabbed across the bottom of the workbook). How can I set up a menu of the worksheets on the left hand side of the workbook that enables me to jump to that worksheet?

I hope I have used the correct terminology

    Thanks

    Hi avonsprings

You could achieve this by using hyperlinks in your menu sheet.

Right click the text or object
    Click 'Hyperlink'
    Click 'Place in this document'
Click the desired sheet to link to

I've also included a sample workbook for reference. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the input fullysic. I am guessing but I think the hyperlink will be part of the final solution. I have seen an excel workbook that when you open it it has a menu system that opens up beside the workbook and you can operate the menu to take you to the worksheets. The hyperlink would be the way it operates but do you know how to set up the menu system within the workbook?

    Thanks

Do you mean like a consistant menu across all worksheets? You could also do the same thing with the hyperlinks - see attached.

You will just need to ensure they are in the exact same place in all sheets so that they don't appear to be moving around.

Edit: One of the links in my sample workbook is pointing to the wrong place, but you get the jist of it.

Damn that is close fullysic. The only thing when you open the workbook the worksheet menu page opens as well as worksheet "Sheet 1" on the same screen. Would this be a split page type set up when you open the Workbook?
