    Green corners

I used Visual Studio 2008 to get data out of a database table on the server and put it into an EXCEL worksheet which I can then copy back to my PC using a File Transfer application.

All the data is there, so no problems thus far.

Some of the cells have the top left hand corner marked with a little green triangle.

What does this mean, please ?

It is used for error checking. Most of the time, Excel is telling you there is a Number stored as text.

If you click on the cell there should be a yellow triangle with an exclamation point appear. Click here an choose convert to number is that be the case.
