I have a kind of same problem.

I copy some data (scores) from internet to excel, and some scores showed as data (dd-mm-yyyy) and i want them like text.
Par example: copy score 4-1 and my macro got to my excel file 1-apr. In that cell actually is this "4-1-2012". I cant find a way to stop excel doing that or reconvert it to exact score as in webpage.

Before doing the paste, format the cells using the format Text.
I already did that sir, but no luck, thats why i showed my problem here. In the meantime i solved the problem, format date from regional settings in a specific format, then extract with LEFT, MID or RIGHT function th text from date, then add a sign " ' " in front of numbers (score like 4-1) extracted, then paste as text. Problem solved in a few steps
