protect excel file from being copied

Yes, you can. Under REVIEW menu you have the option to "PROTECT SHEET". Try it.

you can protect the file from being opened, but you cannot stop it from being copied. However, if the file is password proteced, the password protection will be copied with it.

However, please note that excel password protection is not the greatest in the world. although it will stop the average user from opening the file, some-one with the necessary slills will be able to open the file

to password protect an excel workbook, select file/save as/tools/general options/select which 1 you want.
make sure that you put the P/W some place safe, if you dont, and forget it, you will not be able to open the file (read above though)
