    Production Line Calculation

Im trying to find out how am i going to calculation a production line of 30 people and then i need to calculate against the finished production product database workings.

Tough im trying to make something acurate we work 8hours a day so 1 day isnt 24 hours, and then we dont work on Saturdays an Sundays so i need to skip them too, and there are public holidays etc. Which means if I find a way to do the mentioned situation I can calculate The Delivery dates of when the products will finish.

    Thanks in Advance.

    Re: Production Line Calculation

Most of issues in excel need unique approach - depending of input data.
Some similliar questions can have totally different approach.

So yes, it is possible but for some better answer you would need to create some example workbook: how you input data look like, what you enter, write your desired result.
Creating more different examples (for more people and more time) you can get better answer.

And what do you expect as a result? (Write number, not formula, just to see what you expect).

    Re: Production Line Calculation

    Now we making progres.
I've defined holidays in Holiday tab (you can add them below as new come, no need to delete old ones).

Also, I assume 1,49 need to be rounded to 2 (actually, anything that is 1.x need to be rounded to upper value).

    Then use Workday function.

    Re: Production Line Calculation

Is there a way to calculate 1 day as 8 hours of working period for the "Worker 1 time" X "Quantity of Product" = Answer
Therefore it needs to calculate as if there is a 1 hour job it calculates that there is still 7 hours that is able to work another job while there can be multiple small jobs for 1 day.

And for the "Delivery Date" i want to Deliver at Least 5 Jobs a Day Maximum is it possible to do so?

Im going to attach a sample document.

    Re: Production Line Calculation

    I don't understand.. but maybe this in B26: =(INT(B25/8)+1)*8-B25

So on 30 hours, answer is 2 (8*4 = 32 so remain 2 hours for something else)?
