Ugggh: Excel 2010 - Insert / Data menus greyed out

Most of my Insert Ribbon is greyed out, and Insert is greyed out in Developer.

I just rand a macro I recorded in a bit of a jumble. Cleaned up now.

Everything I've read has to do with selection of multiple worksheets and security/protection. Nothing like that seems to fix it.

Odd note, if i try to paint a pattern like, 1,2,1,2 I get a but of odd decimal values? 1.45454545 etc.
