Re: Password protect specific columns - Hide and protect ability to unhide.
Worked out awya to do it myself!
Select all cells. Format cells. A pop-up box will appear. Go to the Protection tab. Make sure that both boxes (locked/hidden) are unticked.
Select the column you wish to hide. Format cells. The pop-up box will appear. Go to the Protection tab. Make sure that the locked box is ticked.
Hide the column. With the column still selected, click the Tools tab, select Protection and select Protect sheet.
Make sure that every box is ticked EXCEPT "Format columns". Add your password where prompted. Enter your password again to confirm. Press OK
You must do the same thing to protect a Row, but obviously instead of unticking "Format columns" you will untick "Format rows"…
Thread solved but obviously if you have a les none-convoluted way to do it just let me know, cheers.
