instead of editing cell and pressing enter to change format

I have a column full of times (eg 11:45) in General format. If I double click it to edit it and press enter immediately it switches to Time format, which is what I want. How can I do this for the whole column without clicking and pressing enter for each cell??

Selecting the whole column and changing the format to Time does not work.
Copying and Repasting does not work

    Hi,

Try, in an adjacent comment (and presuming your times start in A2): =A2+0

Copy down, then copy and Paste Values over the original data. Might work - without seeing how the data is currently formatted it's tricky to diagnose.

    HTH,
