Unhiding specific rows

Hi

I have a spreadsheet that has to be password protected.

I want to hide all of the data, but allow 10 users to be able to access only the rows of the sheet that apply to their department. They should not be able to see anyone else's.

So for example, when they click to view this sheet,it offers them a password (unique to themselves) and then if they input it correctly only shows perhaps A10 to A15, or particular rows A5, or A2.

In other words the passwords unlocks on the data that is valid to them

Is this possible?

Re: Unhiding specific rows

Hi tintelen and welcome t the forum

If no-one can help you with some VBA code to do that, then you might want to consider creating separate files for each of those 10 people, containing only the data they need to see, and then linking them back to your "master" file
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you
