I can open a pdf through a hyperlink from Excel but that always starts from the first page. Is it ever possible to open a specific page of a pdf just by one click ? I have tried this in a hyperlink : "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 9.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe" /a "C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents" but an error showed cannot open the specific file. I am using Excel 2003 and Adobe Reader 9.

Just add #page=[page number] to the back of your hyperlink and it should open on the required page.
Like so:
C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\The Pdf.pdf#page=23

Regret to inform you that it doesn't work. It opened the pdf at the first page as if #page=11 wasn't there. I tried putting it before the path, with or without space and with quotes but it just doesn't work. May I ask have you tried it ? I really hope it works for you.
I thought my hyperlink was over the length limitation so I reinstalled the Acrobat Reader and moved the Test.pdf to a shorter path. I created a one line batch program with this : C:\Adobe\AcroRd32.exe \a page=4 C:\Temp\Test.pdf and it worked. But when I put it in the hyperlink it didn't. It said "Cannot open the specified file." So I suspect it is impossible to do that at least through hyperlink. Can anyone make a suggestion ? Maybe a program or something?
