I have a 1500+ cells (single column A) with extra spaces before and after my data. Is there a way to remove all those extra spaces with a formula?

Put in an adjacent cell and copy down.

In cell B1 put =TRIM(A1) and copy down. Copy column B and Paste Special | Values over column A. Delete column B.

New quick method:
Select Thread Tools-> Mark thread as Solved. To undo, select Thread Tools-> Mark thread as Unsolved.

Go to the first post
Click edit
Click Go Advanced
Just below the word Title you will see a dropdown with the word No prefix.
Change to Solved
Click Save
